The central location on the south side of the Alps between the peaks of the Dolomites and Lake Weissensee offers countless nature experiences. Directly in front of the hotel, the Drau cycle path R1 invites you to enjoy varied tours through the Drau valley. There is additional fun for families in Austria’s largest outdoor park Oberdrautal as well as on the Emberger Alm.<\/p>\n

The highest situated bathing lake in the Alps, Lake Weissensee, is very close by. The lake has been awarded the “European Prize for Environment and Tourism” and declared a nature park. You can swim, dive, surf or paddle in up to 24 degrees warm drinking water. Two thirds of the lake shore are natural and untouched. This means you’re welcome to enjoy an unique countryside idyll which is second to none. Even adventurous holidaymakers get their money’s worth: wakeboard, parachute, tyres, banana and even a water ski school are on site. Hiking enthusiasts will also get their money’s worth along Lake Weissensee: In just under three hours, you can reach the eastern shore on a stretch of seven kilometres from the western shore.
